Hi, I’m Shrikant Lavhate — a quiet observer, thoughtful creator, and curious wanderer.
This blog is my personal canvas — a space where I share poems, historical reflections, sketches, photos, and stories from the trails of the Sahyadris. Everything here is shaped by a wandering mind and a heart that finds meaning in the little things — a line of poetry, the curve of a hill, or a forgotten chapter in history.
✍️ I write…
Mostly poems — fragments of thought, emotion, and everyday moments. But I also write about the past, especially the Maratha empire, with a deep respect for its stories and legacies. History, for me, is not just about dates — it’s about people, resilience, and memory.
🎨 I sketch…
When words fall short, I turn to lines and shapes. My sketchbook is where quiet thoughts become something visual — whether it’s a character, a place, or an abstract feeling.
🌄 I wander…
The Sahyadris call me often. I write about my treks not as itineraries, but as inner journeys — where the trail teaches you something, the forts whisper history, and the wind carries stories of the past.
📷 I capture…
Photography is my way of collecting moments without interrupting them. I like stillness — and often, my photos are more about mood than motion.
Why This Blog Exists
Because I believe stories matter — whether told through verse, history, art, or travel. This blog is where all my passions meet, without pretense. It’s personal, imperfect, and real — just like every journey worth taking.
Thank you for reading. I hope something here speaks to you.
